Drilling
De Gorter, Inc. is proud to offer glass drilling machinery from Schiatti
Angelo, s.r.l.
Schiatti first offered a single station, opposed head glass drill to the
North American market in 1882. For the past twenty years, they have
earned a reputation world wide as being extremely simple to operate and
their strength of construction.
Schiatti manufactures a single station, opposed head glass drill called
the “FPD 60 Series”. It is available in three different operating modes;
manual, semi automatic and fully automatic. In addition, each model can
be fitted with a large, pneumatic castor table for easy hole location.
Each version can also be fitted with an optional laser for faster
centering. A manual, jig system is also available instead of the laser,
for faster repetitive drilling. These drills are designed to drill glass
from 2 mm through 28 mm thick. And are capable of drilling holes from 3
mm to 100 mm in an automatic mode, and up to 200 mm manually.
Schiatti also manufacturers three models of multiple spindle, opposed
head drilling machines. These are known as the “FPM Series”. They are
designed for high volume glass drillers requiring multiple holes in
glass sheets. These drills are available with two, three and four
drilling stations. Each drill is available with either a manual or fully
automatic setting of each drill head location. These machines are
capable of drilling glass from 2 mm through 15 mm thick. They are
designed to drill holes from 2 mm to 40 mm, in diameter.
