De Gorter, Inc. supplies many of the products a shop uses on a daily basis.
We represent many major manufacturers of these products.

Our coolant comes from Associated Chemists, Inc., the preferred manufacturer of the industry. It is available in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, 330-gallon disposable, or recyclable tote packs, and in container trailer loads. There is a formula for both direct use in coolant tanks or with centrifuge filtration systems. We also have coolant test kits available, so you can know precisely the concentration of coolant to water in your system at all times. Stop wasting coolant by using too high a concentration.

De Gorter, Inc. has a private label Cerium Oxide. This is available in three qualities. Five Star is our top of the line, with at least 60% cerium. Three Star is our average grade, with at least 40% cerium. One Star is our economy brand, with at least 25% cerium. Cerium is stocked in 5-gallon pails, containing 44 pounds. Other packaging is available, such as boxes and 55-gallon drums.

Did you know that cerium works best under the proper pH? Did you know that after a certain concentration, cerium will not perform any better? De Gorter, Inc. sells cerium test kits. Now you can know the exact pH of the slurry and the exact concentration of cerium in solution. Why use more than you have to? With this test kit, you will use just the right amount.

De Gorter, Inc. is the only supplier of dressing blocks for cleaning diamond and polishing wheels in edging machinery. Most suppliers sell dressing sticks. These need to be hand held and pressed onto the wheel surface. Not only do you lose production time, there is the danger of being injured by particles flying off the stick or wheel. Dressing Blocks are run into the machine as if they were a piece of glass. Therefore, the operator no longer places their hands into a running piece of equipment.

We introduced the PSA Sanding Disc to the glass industry several years ago. We were so successful that many competitors are now following in our footsteps. This system uses padded backer pads onto which a sanding disc is attached. No more fussing with the center screw assembly. No more worries of glass damage from the center nut. If you use discs that are not PSA, why not give them a try?
